Making throw cushions is so easy to do a small child can even do it with supervision of course.
Making throw cushions you will need...
Fabric
Scissors
Buttons
Thread
Needle
Sewing machine
Tape measure
Poly fill
Common Pins
All you need to do is to determine the size of the throw cushion that you want to make, and you can get the fabric of your preference of design and about half yard should do for two throw cushion and one yard of material will give you four cushions about 16" × 16" .
Whatever size you decide on you will cut out the same size but with an inch over to make room for stitching.
You will need to cut a back and front or you can easily fold the material in half and cut the two pieces one time or fold the mmaterial in two to get the four throws.
I bought a yard of material and that gave me four throw cushions at 16"×16" .
Place fabric on the wrong size measure the fabric for the size of the throw cushions.
You can pin the pieces together on the wrong side to make it easy for stitching and to get it cut correctly, cut along the pinned areas of the fabric that you measured out.
If you don't have a sewing machine you can stitch it by hand all the around the pinned area just leaving about 7" open for the filling.
When you finished stitched the fabric take out the pins and turn the throw inside out making leaving the stitched areas inside and the right side of the material in view.
Fill the throw with as much poly fill as it can hold as you want a nice full bounchy through that is really filled.
When you have accomplished the task stitch up the opening with an inside stitch.
You can either leave your throw like that or put a button in the middle, me I like to see throws with buttons it somehow give them a finished look.
So if you don't have an upholstery needle you can use a very big sewing needle.
Hold the throw cushion and insert the needle with the button threaded through in the middle of the throw cushion.
You will be able to get the sewing needle through by just placing pressure on the throw and pressing in the fabric on the filling to get space.
When you have thread the bubutton on the other side thread anotjer button and thread it back to the first button pull in both buttons to get the inverted look.
You can repeat the procedure until you have a strong threading of both buttons then you can knot off the thread and cut.
Now look at your throw cushion and see what you just made as easy as AB C. :)
